SOCIAL PRACTICE PROJECTS
2018-2020
PRESENT is an on-going, city-wide, participatory artwork building
creative connections through art that we make and share as colorful,
free postcards placed throughout Saint Louis.
2018-2020
A(3rd)Space is a part of my studio where I regularly invite creatives
to intentionally practice community.
2017
ReSolve was a video project for which 32 people from 7 cities gathered
to practice respectful engagement by playing human chess.
2016
Build was made with the local community in Laramie, WY.
We built a shelter using recycled cardboard food boxes
as a way to address issues of safety and food security.
2015
MeetUp consisted of free monthly activities such as potluck picnics,
capoeira, Zumba, yoga, capture the flag and badminton, over a six month
period. I documented the activities in an evolving nine-screen video
installation at The Parthenon Museum.
2014
For My Neighbor was a video project for which I broke bread with 100
people at an immigration center and a Spanish immersion school in Nashville.
2010-2015
SEED SPACE was an art lab I founded in my studio, which for five years I directed
as a space for artists, writers, and curators so that we could widen and strengthen artistic networks.
